From Carmen to Argentine feminist essayists, the Duet Fermina pays a musical and literary tribute to the many expressions of femininity in Spanish culture.<\/p>

Elo\u00efse Fares (harp) and Marion Rougon-Betis (flute) met at the Haute \u00c9cole de Musique de Gen\u00e8ve, where a deep friendship was born. Inspired by the story \"The Masque of the Red Death\"<\/strong> from Edgar Allan Poe, \u00ab\u00a0The Clock Strikes 2:32 PM\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/strong> is an immersive concert experience exploring time, mortality, and the fragility of the human condition.<\/p>

Through a reimagining story of<\/strong> Prince Prospero, a narcissistic ruler convinced he can outrun fate, the project reflects on wealth and poverty, power and vulnerability, illusion and reality. The concert hall itself became a masked ballroom, where audience members were invited to wear masks and enter the story as participants rather than spectators.<\/strong><\/p>

Throughout the performance,<\/strong> recurring visual and musical symbols traced the passage of time: a beating heart, a blooming and fading rose, an obsessive pendulum, a red thread of destiny, and the ever-present shadow of Death. The title refers to a specific yet unknowable moment, the hour at which every life eventually ends. A reminder that regardless of status, health, wealth, or recognition,<\/strong>we all share the same fate.<\/p>

Centered around<\/strong> the harp, and string quartet,<\/strong>the program featured works by Debussy and Caplet alongside the world premiere of 2:32, a new work by French composer Quentin Lauvray<\/strong><\/a>, \u00ab\u00a02:32\u2033<\/em><\/strong>,<\/a> written specifically for the project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As part of a call for projects to the Geneva University of Music<\/a>, Elo\u00efse imagines a musical interlude featuring a harp duo and a percussion duo. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>

She enlists the help of her colleagues Blanche Proust de la Gironi\u00e8re, Tom Eichenberger and Antonin Jacard to carry out this ambitious and innovative project. <\/span><\/p>

First, she imagines an atmosphere, starting with a festive, dance-themed setting, and she sees Latin America in it,<\/strong> full of colour and culturally very lively and vibrant. The dragon who didn't like fire<\/b> is an original creation<\/strong> \u2013 a collective performance that invites young audiences to immerse themselves in a magical world where music and the magic of fire come together. Through poetic and musical storytelling, the students embody dragons that convey emotions and stories, showcasing their musical discoveries and their relationship with breath, the harp and fire.<\/span><\/p>
